Flop Cake
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- 2-1/2 cups crushed pineapple
Icing recipe below
Directions
Mix all ingredients together and bake in a rectangle 13x9 pan for about 30 minutes at 325 degrees or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Frost when cake is cool.
Icing - In a saucepan, mix 1-1/2 cup sugar, 1 stick butter, 1 cup coconut, 1 small can evaporated milk, and 1 cup chopped nuts. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring to prevent burning. Allow to cool slightly and pour over cake.
