Traditional BBQ Spice Rub
(This rub works on beef, pork, chicken and fish.)

Ingredients:

  • 4 Teaspoons salt (Kosher is best)
  • 2 Teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 Teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3 Teaspoons paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon chile powder (more if you like spicier)
  • 2 Teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon celery or mustard seed
  • 1 Teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 Teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 Teaspoon gruond fennel
Note: Feel free to add your favorite spice into the mix for your own personal flavor.

Directions:

  1. Mix all dry ingredients together
  2. Use or store in a zip-bag until ready to use

Makes about 1/2 cup
