Traditional Barbeque Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Ketchup
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 4 Tablespoons Molasses
  • 2 Tablespoons White Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tablspoon Mustard - Regular, Dijon or Brown
  • 4 Teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Hot Sauce
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Powdered Garlic
Optional: Add 2 Tablespoons brown sugar for a sweeter taste.

Directions:

  1. In a medium-size saucepan, mix all ingredients together. (A whisk works well for this)
  2. Bring everything to a slow boil over medium heat.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for approximately 10 minutes, stirring once in a while.
  4. Remove from heat and use or cool before storing in refrigerator.
Makes approximately 2 cups of sauce.
