Traditional Barbeque Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Ketchup
- 1 Cup Water
- 4 Tablespoons Molasses
- 2 Tablespoons White Wine Vinegar
- 1 Tablspoon Mustard - Regular, Dijon or Brown
- 4 Teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Hot Sauce
- 1/2 Teaspoon Powdered Garlic
Optional: Add 2 Tablespoons brown sugar for a sweeter taste.
Directions:
- In a medium-size saucepan, mix all ingredients together. (A whisk works well for this)
- Bring everything to a slow boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for approximately 10 minutes, stirring once in a while.
- Remove from heat and use or cool before storing in refrigerator.
Makes approximately 2 cups of sauce.
