Cream Cheese Frosting **


  • 1 8-oz bar of cream cheese (softened)

  • 1 Stick butter (softened)

  • 5 Cups powdered sugar**

  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla


  1. Combine softened cream cheese, softened butter, sugar and vanilla in a bowl.

  2. Mix together until smooth. If frosting is too thick, add 1 teaspoon of water at a time until a spreadable consistency is reached.

  3. Frost cooled cake and refrigerate.

** Make this frosting 'sugar-free' by replacing the traditional powdered sugar with Splenda™ powdered sugar.
