Apple Cobbler

This delicious cobbler has a 'biscuit' type crust that bakes to a light golden brown. Use apples, pears, cherries, peaches or combination of fruit for variety.

Cobbler Ingredients:

4-5 Medium sized apples (pears, peaches)
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 Packet Sweet-n-Low
2 Tablsespoons butter
1 Teaspoon cinnamon
1 Teaspoon nutmeg
Crust Ingredients:

1/2 Cup sugar
1/2 Cup Splenda
1 Cup flour (sifted)
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon baking powder
1/2 Cup milk
2 Tablespoons melted butter

Preheat the oven to 350º

Peel and thinly slice the apples into an 8" x 8" cake pan. Sprinkle fruit with the brown sugar, packet of Sweet-n-Low; dot with the butter, and then sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.

Combine the sugar, Splenda, flour, salt, baking powder, milk and melted butter stirring until smooth. Pour batter over fruit. Bake in a preheated oven for about 45 minutes.

Serve warm with whipped cream.
