Healthy Marinade for Meat
(This is an old recipe that claims to reduce the potentially harmful compounds caused by grilling meat at high temperatures. Jim Felton, PhD., Division Leader in molecular and structural biology at Lawrence Livermore.)
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup packed brown sugar
- 3 Garlic cloves, crushed
- 1-1/2 Teaspoon salt
- 3 Tablespoons prepared mustard
- 1/4 Cup cider vinegar
- 3 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 6 Tablspoons olive oil
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and use as marinade immediately. Do not re-use marinade and discard any left over liquid.
