Homemade Waffles
For breakfast or dessert!


Makes approximately 1 quart of batter

  • 4 eggs (separated)

  • 1 cup flour (regular)

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup milk

  • 5 tablespoons butter (melted)

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla


  1. Beat egg whites until they form soft peaks - set aside

  2. In medium-sized bowl mix together the flour, sugar, salt, milk, melted butter and vanilla

  3. Fold in egg whites

  4. Spoon batter into a pre-heated waffle maker and cook until done

Serving Suggestions: Serve for breakfast or as dessert with vanilla ice cream and fresh berries.
