Salisbury Steak - Mushroom Gravy


  • 1-1/2 lb. lean ground beef

  • 1/2 lb. gound pork

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs

  • 1 medium-size onion, finely chopped

  • 1 cup mushroom soup

  • 1 cup water (or milk)

  • 1-2 teaspoons brown gravy mix, optional for color

  • Salt & pepepr


  1. Combine meats, egg, bread crumbs, onion and seasonings in a bowl.

  2. Shape meat mixture into patties and place into a pre-heated skillet, brown on each side.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix mushroom soup, water (or milk), and gravy mix.

  4. Pour over browned patties.

  5. Lower heat to medium-low.

  6. Cover and cook for approximately 20 minutes or until done.

Serve with rice, noodles or mash potatoes. (6 Servings)
