Shrimp Creole - Crock Pot Easy


  • 1 pound fresh shrimp, sehlled and deveined. If using frozen shelled shrimp, rinse and drain.

  • 1-1/2 cup chopped onion

  • 1/2 cup chopped celery

  • 1 clove garlic (minced)

  • 3/4 cup diced green pepper

  • 3-1/2 cups canned whole tomatoes

  • 1/2 teaspoon each - salt and peppe

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco hot sauce


  1. Combine all ingredients except shrimp in crockpot. Stir well.

  2. Cover with lid and cook on 'low' for 7-9 hours or 'high' for 3-4 hours

  3. During the last hour, turn to 'high' and add shrimp.

  4. Cook for 1 hour or until shrimp turn pink.

  5. Serve with white rice
